Cluster- Laura Ellen BaconWe are delighted to announce that work has started on Ninewells’ next commissioned community artwork – ‘Cluster’ by Laura Ellen Bacon.

Laura Ellen Bacon is well known for her woven sculptures that integrate with the natural and built world, working with willow and other natural materials to create large-scale artworks in landscape, urban and interior settings. Working with her bare hands, her works embrace, surround and engulf architectural and natural structures. Click here to discover more about Laura and her other works.

‘Cluster’ will join Confluence by Peter Randall-Page – the stunning water and granite based sculpture, which sits proudly within the first phase at Ninewells, with the beautiful Gog Magog downs as a backdrop.

Laura is currently working in East Sussex alongside a boat builder, where the green oak used to form ‘Cluster’ is being steamed and bent into shape to create the organic forms, which will stand either side of a public footpath located in front of the newly released Linton House.

‘Cluster’ takes inspiration from man-made enclosures, notably hedge-laying and fencing,  and is due to be installed at Ninewells in October.

Linton House comprises of two bedroom apartments and duplex apartments priced from £399,950.  For the current availability, please visit the apartments page of our website or contact the Ninewells team on 01223 792000.
